took place at about 17.00 hours on 11.12.1940.

Tin, 68 years, master of Fishing junk No.3230 H.V. residing en board, of Hong Kọng, states:-

I am the master of the above junk which left Shaukiwan at 19.00 hours

on the 9.12.40 for the sea to fish. Altogether there were 15 persons

on board.

At about 17.00 hours on the 11.12.40 my junk was sailing @ 三門開 Sam Mun Kwan (Long. 114° 39′ E. Lat. 22° 26' N.) I saw a Japanese

trawler, painted grey, one mast and funnel and the mumber 20 paint‹ white amidships come from Sam Mun Kwan. When the Trawler was a shoi distance away, the Japanese fired their machine gun.

I lowered my junk sails and the trawler came alongside my junk. Fourteen Japanese ɑressed in Khaki uniform bearded my junk. One was armed with a shor sword and the remainder with rifles. The Japanese tied up my junk t the trawler and we were taken in tew to Sam khan Kwan. We had our

persons searched and the junk was also searched. I had $230.000 Chinese currency valued $60.00 Hạng Kong, and $18.00 Hong Kong curre
